Valley Interfaith and the IAF believe that people learn by doing

As individuals begin to "walk on their own", they take on public roles they would never have anticipated: posing difficult questions to public representatives, speaking to the press, telling pieces of their experiences in large forums. Public action is, in fact, the stage upon which Valley Interfaith's classroom rests. Oftentimes local organizations "create" actions in order to provide opportunities for learning and growth. While these actions are essential to bringing about changes in local policies, they are also essential to bringing about changes in individuals.
