Valley Interfaith dates back to 1982, when Local Catholic leadership invited the Industrial Areas Foundation into the Valley. The subsequent formation of a sponsoring committee marked the beginning of Valley Interfaith in 1983. Valley Interfaith is made up of over fourty church and schools, and represents 60,000 families. It's mission, "...to build power for sustainable social, economic and political change through institution-based leadership development and action."
