In Stolen Memories, Gemma keeps her audience riveted with the surprising story of her grandmother and her lifelong tobacco habit. She produced this story in a Train the Trainer workshop for for the Washington Association of Migrant and Community Health Centers (WACMHC).
How this story is being used for change:
Gemma and other storytellers are using their stories as advocacy and education pieces throughout the state of Washington and beyond. Gemma is showing her story to legislators as a tool to drive home the importance of funding anti-tobacco programs as well as at Sea Mar, where she works to prevent tobacco addiction.
